Cecil Food (Pvt) Ltd (CFPL) has a history starting from 1989, when Junson Associate commenced exporting fresh fruits and vegetables to the global market. Since inception, Company was involving in rural agriculture to promote many homestead farms in remote areas in the country. Thus Cecil is in the forefront in enhancing the poor rural farmers' income and the improving rural economy of Sri Lanka. Currently, Company is working with 2500 acres of cultivated lands to source its products for overseas marketing.

Cecil became a subsidiary of Ceylon Biscuits Limited in year 2003, with the intention of taking the Company through an expansion programme with its growth potential. Further in Year 2003, Cecil was instrumental in setting up Galgamuwa Export Processing Company Ltd (GEPCL) with the Government of Sri Lanka namely with Sri Lanka Export Development Board (EDB), Ministry of Rural Economy and 1000 farmers represented by Samurdhi Authority. GEPCL is a 51% owned Company of Cecil Food (Pvt) Ltd (CFPL).
